Arthroplasty Today CME Activity

Members and subscribers will now find articles designed for CME within Arthroplasty Today.

To claim CME credits, subscribers must read a CME-eligible article and take an online test. The questions on the test are designed to make the reader think and will occasionally require the reader to go back and scrutinize the article for details. All questions must be answered correctly for the reader to earn CME credits.

Statement of Need: The Arthroplasty today Continuing Medical Education (CME) activity was developed by the AT editors and authors as a convenient educational tool. After completing this activity, participants will be able to demonstrate an increase in or affirmation of their knowledge of hip and knee surgery. Users will also be able to evaluate the appropriateness of clinical data and apply it to their practice and the provision of patient care.

AAHKS is committed to ensuring balance, independence, objectivity, and scientific rigor in their governance, programmatic, educational, and other activities.

In accordance with the Standards for Commercial Support (SCS) issued by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), AAHKS requires disclosure and resolution of all planner, faculty and otherwise contributor conflicts of interest (COI) to ensure CME activities are free of commercial bias. In addition, all author disclosures are available for review under the Supplemental Materials tab accompanying the manuscript.

Format and Fee: AT will contain at least 1 clinically relevant articles selected by the editor to be offered for CME in each issue. For CME credit, the participant must read each article and correctly answer related questions through online examinations. The AT CME Activity fee of $15.00 includes the exam questions/answers only and does not include access to the referenced AT article.

When purchasing CME, please select one exam at a time to ensure proper records are established for your participation.

Technical Requirements & Login Information: This Internet-based CME activity is best experienced using a recent browser such as Internet Explorer 8 or higher. This web site requires that JavaScript and session cookies be enabled. In addition, you will require the Free Adobe Acrobat Reader to view the downloadable .PDF file.

  • Internet Explorer 8 or higher / Mozilla Firefox 15 or higher / Chrome 22.0 or higher
  • 1024 x 768 resolution
  • Broadband connection highly recommended

To access this system, you must login directly to the Arthroplasty Today website with your AT login information (this is different than your login information for the AAHKS website). If you have never created an account on the AT website, please Register. If you have any difficulties with the login process, please contact Elsevier, the AT publisher.

AMA PRA Credit Designation: The AAHKS designates each journal-based CME activity for a maximum of 1.00 "AMA PRA Category 1 CreditTM". Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Accreditation: The AAHKS is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Passing Score: Minimum passing score on the post-test is 80%, and a total of 2 attempts are allowed to complete the activity.

Expiration Date: Each exam must be completed and purchased within a three year period of when it was released to be eligible for CME. A certificate will be issued upon completion of the activity. Estimated time to complete each AT CME activity is 1 hour.
